Kenzie had an eventful day. Today he became a man. It was the day all men must endure, the circumcision day. Strange for some, Dr Kaplan did the operation. This is a ritual for the OB, to finish his job. Almost a final right of passage for the baby and doctor. He recovered well with me, and then spent the evening with his mom. No, I was not in the room for the operation, but did spend about an hour with him afterwards to calm him down. The nurses say they have lost many a father during the procedure. I didn't want to be that guy. He also got his first round of immunization shots. They figured it was best to combine everything into one day. And he gained another half an ounce.
Tomorrow should be more relaxing.
