Kenzie had a wonderfull day. He took three bottles by mouth today, he gained almost an ounce ( 4 lb 7.3 ounces ) and most importantly, he passed his head scan with flying colors. He has his eye exam in the middle of the night tonight, while there are no visitors in the room. For this test they need to make sure the veins are growing from the center of the eye, all the way to the back. Of course in order to do this, they need to look at the back of the eyeball. Even the nurses dont like to be there for this one.
He did have a good visit with the Grandparents McDaid. I only say good, not great, because he slept through the entire 2 hours they were there.
His next test is to see how he does with his breathing without the medication he has been receiving since he was born that reminds him to breathe. Wish him luck. This is a big check on the list to go home.
