Today was a great day despite the pouring rain because our son was finally moved into a crib. We met up with our good friend Marcie for brunch, brought her to meet Kenzie, and there he was in the open air! It was so incredible to walk over to him and be able to pick him up with out having to open a door. He looked like such a big baby sleeping there, and we it made it much easier to change his diaper at the end of the visit. The nurses are letting us do more and more for him, which is helping it sink in that he's ours. Which I'm sure sounds crazy, but things happened in such a way that we felt disconnected- especially in the beginning. It's getting harder and harder to leave every time we visit him. He seems like after we feed him and put him down at 7 PM, he looks like he wants us to pick him back up and play with him.
For the count: he's up to 4 lbs 4.5 oz. He gained 45 grams today. I think it's because he was held all day because they reduced his feedings due to his reflux. More photo's to come.
